    Karnataka in Southern India is loaded with glittering palaces, national parks, ancient ruins, beaches, yoga centers, and legendary hang-outs. At its nerve center is the capital Bengaluru (Bangalore), a progressive city famous for its craft beer and restaurant scene. Heading out of town you'll encounter the evergreen rolling hills of Kodagu, dotted with spice and coffee plantations, the regal splendor of Mysuru (Mysore), and jungles teeming with monkeys, tigers and Asia’s biggest population of elephants. Its cultural enclave offers tranquil Hampi with hammocks, psychedelic sunsets, and boulder-strewn ruins and blissful, virtually untouched coastline around Gokarna, blessed with beautiful coves and empty sands.

    HAMPI - a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 14th-century temples. Chronicles left by Persian and European travelers, particularly the Portuguese. The magnificent ruins of Hampi dot an unearthly landscape that has captivated travelers for centuries. The main travelers’ ghetto has traditionally been Hampi Bazaar, a village crammed with budget lodges, shops, and restaurants, and towered over by the majestic Virupaksha Temple. Tranquil Virupapur Gaddi across the river has become a new popular hang-out.

     

    Badami - The heart-melting landscape accompanied by beautifully done temples and fort can easily draw the attention of the travelers from around the globe. It is the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. It is famous for its rock-cut structural temples. Once the capital of the mighty Chalukya empire, today Badami is famous for its magnificent rock-cut cave temples, and red sandstone cliffs that resemble the Wild West.

     The state enjoys a variety of flora and fauna, which is actually a nature tourist paradise. The long and colorful history of the state, and many palaces, historic buildings, forts, temples, mosques, and churches are examples of the great influence of different cultures and traditions. The state is rich in a rich cultural heritage. The folk culture has an old and rich tradition, the two most prominent being the auxiliary and the puppet shows. Karnataka has a large number of tourist destinations, the capital city is known as Garden City Jog Falls, Carver, and Malay Beach in Bangalore, Halebid and Belur are the ancient stone temples of Golgunj in Mysore Palace, Bijapur

    Day 04: Coorg – Wayanad

    • After breakfast drives to Wayanad and visits the Lakkidi viewpoint ( depends on time availability ). It will give you a fascinating view of Wayanad Pass and Western Ghats.
    • En-route visit to Pookode Lake is a freshwater lake settled amidst the evergreen forests of Wayanad.

    Day 06: Wayanad – Hassan

    • After breakfast drive to Kuruva Island, The Kuruva Island with 950 acres of evergreen forest lies on one of the tributaries of the Kabini. Later Visit Edakal Caves &BansuraSagar Dam The dam at Banasura Sagar is reckoned as the largest earth dam in India. The dam is located in the southwestern part of Wayanad district and is close to the Karalad Lake. The project area of the Banasura Sagar Dam also has the start point for treks to the Banasura Peak. An interesting feature is a set of islands that were formed when the reservoir submerged the surrounding areas.
    • After Lunch drive to Hassan

    Day 07: Hassan – Belur – Halebid – Hassan

    • After breakfast at hotel drive to Hassan,
    • Upon arrival proceed to visit Halebid. Halebid literally means ruined city because it was ruined twice by the Bahmani Sultanate. Halebidu was previously called as Dwarasamudra and it was the regal capital of the Hoysala Empire in the 12th century. Halebidu is home to one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture in the ornate Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples.
    • Then proceed to Belur, a town popular for its Chennakeshava temple. The Chennakeshava Temple at Belur is one of the finest examples of Hoysala's workmanship. The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple (Vishnu) as the centerpiece, surrounded by the KappeChennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana.

    Day 08: Hassan – Chitradurga – Hospet

    Day 09: Hospet ( Hampi)

    • After breakfast at the hotel explore the monuments & temples of Hampi - once the beautiful capital city of Vijayanagar Empire - greater than Rome, had palaces, temples & sculptures, spread all over. The city was razed to the ground by the Sultanates of South in 1565. Some of the interesting ruins remaining are the Virupaksha, Vittala and Hazara Rama temples huge Ganesha and Narasimha images, the elephant stables, the Queen's Bath, carvings on the Ramachandra temple & Lotus Mahal.

    • Enroute visit Aihole also referred to as Aivalli, Ahivolal or Aryapura, is a historic site of ancient and medieval era Buddhist, Hindu and Jain monuments in north Karnataka dated from the fourth century through the twelfth century.
    • Later continue to Pattadakal, also called Paṭṭadakallu or Raktapura, is a collection of ten Hindu and Jain temples in north Karnataka dated to the 7th and 8th century CE. UNESCO declared it a World Heritage site in 1987.

    • After breakfast at the hotel explores Badami, formerly known as Vatapi, is a town and headquarters of a taluk by the same name, in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka, India. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas including Badami Caves, Badami Fort, Mahakuta Temple &Banashankari Temple.
