Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in India also known as the "festival of colours" or the "festival of love When Holi is celebrated, bright colors and happiness soak each and every corner of the state and bring much joy to the lives of the people. Hola Mahalla is an important Indian Sikh festival held in Anandpur Sahib in Punjab which follows Hindu festival of Holi. Holla Mohalla is an occasion for the Sikhs to reaffirm their commitment to the Khalsa Panth. Chadi Mar holi is popular way to celebrate holi in Vrindavan, Barsana and Mathura. Chadi Mar holi in which people hit with sticks (Lath). Mathura and Vrindavan is famous in world for its temples and lord Krishna birth Place.
Holi Festival (29th March 2021) - Holi, amongst the most distinct culturally-rooted festivals of India, evokes the buoyant spirit of the spring season. The way Holi in India stirs up excitement among people, no other festival can. Well known for its high-octane celebrations, the Holi festival is famously associated with colours and water balloons. Falling in the month of March/April in the Hindu calendar, the Holi festival celebrates the onset of spring and renewal. Coming forth with the full flush of life, the invigorating air of Holi festivities spreads into the lives of people throughout the year.
However, the most interesting moments of Holi festival is the pyramid-type arrangement with a pot of buttermilk hung very high up in the street. Men climb up this pyramid to break the pot, in the same way as Lord Krishna did when he was a child. Holi in India is never complete without the special Holi menus which include especially homemade rich sweet dishes like, 'gujiyas', 'malpuas' 'puranpolis' Cool summer drinks like 'thandai', mixed with the intoxicating 'bhang', are eagerly looked forward to. Holi celebrations can be seen in full exuberance with children and adults indulging in a frenzied display of colored water play with friends, relations and peers. The evening is a more formal affair, with people greeting each other with 'gulal' or dry colours, wearing new clothes. Mathura, Vrindavan and Nandgaon in Uttar Pradesh are the bastions of Holi celebrations. 'Braj Holi' is extremely famous and people come from everywhere to play out the love legends associated with young Radha and Krishna. The traditional ideas of good versus evil and upholding of moral values are borne out by several mythical events associated with Holi celebrations. The burning of Holika figuratively played out by burning the effigies of Holika.
Kumbh Mela Festival 2021
Haridwar Kumbh Mela -
Kumbh Mela, the largest religious gathering in the world, is held every 12 years in rotation at the four holy places of Haridwar, Allahabad, Ujjain and Nasik. The 2021 Maha Kumbh Mela will be held at Haridwar. It will witness the coming together of millions of pilgrims, accompanied by sadhus and different akharas, to take a dip in the holy River Ganges. The bathing dates for this mega event have already been announced and they are mentioned below.Rituals of Kumbh
Although taking the dip in the sacred waters on all days of Kumbh beginning from Makar Sankranti is considered holy, yet there are some specific auspicious bathing dates. There are magnificent processions of saints and their disciples, members of various Akharas take part in the ritual of Shahi Snan at the start of Kumbh.Mythological Significance
The origin of Kumbh Mela was transcribed by the 8th-century philosopher Shankara. The founding myth of the Kumbh Mela points out to the Puranas (compilation of ancient legends). It recounts how Gods and demons fought over the sacred pitcher (Kumbh) of Amrit (nectar of immortality) called the Ratna of Samudra Manthan.HOLI FESTIVAL & KUMBH MELA TOUR 2021

INDIA'S GOLDEN TRIANGLE comprises the three most visited cities in the country's north-west - Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, which are all connected to each other by good road and rail links. On the map, these form a roughly equilateral triangle, some 200-250km along each side. This triangle has been dubbed "golden" for the extraordinary wealth of cultural and historical splendor on offer in each of the three cities.
JAIPUR, capital of the largely desert state of Rajasthan, is home to some of Asia's best bazaars. You could spend weeks in Delhi, the sprawling, fascinating Indian capital, and not see it all, while AGRA, once the heart of the Moghul empire, boasts the unparalleled beauty of the Taj Mahal, which adorns the banks of the Yamuna river. The Golden Triangle is a classic introduction to India: if you've never been to the subcontinent before, start here, which usually involves a flight into Delhi.
DELHI's chief "sight" is its street life. The teeming bazaars of imagination lie in "Old" Delhi, the city of the Moghuls, established in the 17th century and still largely Muslim: the immense Jama Masjid (Great Mosque) dominates the quarter. Its main thoroughfare, the tumultuous Chandni Chowk, abuts the Red Fort, whose pristine lawns and lofty Moghul audience halls offer a tranquil haven. To the south, British-built New Delhi is a fascinating contrast, radiating out from the boutiques and cafés of Connaught Place: here, the dusty alleys are replaced by broad, arrow-straight boulevards and four-square monuments. The imperial mall, Rajpath, leads to the mighty arch of India Gate, designed by Edwin Lutyens in the 1920s, and now the focus of New Delhi's passeggiata
