    Details Itinerary

    Day 1 Arrival at Delhi Airport)/rooms Blocked for Immediate Occupancy

    On your arrival in Delhi, you will be met by a tour representative who will escort you to your hotel 

    Transfer to the hotel and check into your rooms 

    Overnight in a hotel in Delhi

    Meals: No meals

     

    Day 2 New Delhi City Tour / Sikh Temple/walking Tour of Connaught Place

    We visit New Delhi including seeing Bangla Sahib, Humayun’s tomb, Parliament House, India Gate. 

    Experience to cook/serve food “Langar” around 10,000 people in a day. Have a meal in the Gurudwara as “Langar” sitting on the floor in a queue (Pangat). Welcome BBQ dinner in a restaurant.

    Overnight at Hotel in Delhi

    Meals: Breakfast, Langar(Lunch) at Gurudwara & Dinner

     

    Day 3 - 6 Flight to Bagdogra / Walks in & Around Darjeeling

    This morning we enjoy a short flight from Delhi to Bagdogra located in West Bengal, followed by a scenic drive to Darjeeling, where we stay for four nights. 

     Highlights:

    * Toy Train Journey 

    * Walk to Tiger Hill (5 Kms Walk/1:30-2 Hrs)

    * Railway Museum 

    * Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary.

    * Himalayan flora with excellent views of the valley and mountains. View Mt Kanchenjunga (8586M) the third highest mountain in the world at sunrise.

    * Lovely Forested treks 

    * Tibetan Refugee Centre 

    * Walk-in tea gardens 

    * Tour of the tea factory

    Day 7 - 10 Drive to Kalimpong (60 Kms / 2 Hrs) / Walks in & Around Kalimpong

    This morning we drive to Kalimpong (60 km / 2 hrs.) visiting a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery en route.  
    Kalimpong is a famous hill station in the  Indian state of  West Bengal, located near the Teesta river, and was the gateway for trade between India and Tibet during the British era.  It is home to many monasteries and churches and enjoys a peaceful setting with panoramic views of the Himalayas. 

    Highlights:

    * Rice Fields and Cardamom Plantations Walks

    * Visit Zang Dog Palri Fo Brang Monastery. 

    * Meet a local herbal medicine practitioner.

    * Visit Dr. Graham's School a charity run school set up in 1900 by a Scottish missionary

    * Visit animal shelters and local farmlands producing market fruit and vegetables. 

    * Flower nursery and observe rare orchids. 

    * Damsang Fort Walk (8kms/ 4 Hrs)

    * Visit Sakya Monastery 


    BHUTAN SECTION STARTS

    Day 11 Drive to Indo- Bhutan Border at Phuntsholing (180 km / 6 Hours Approx.)

    This morning we will leave India behind and travel to Bhutan. Today is mainly a travel day (180 km / 6 hours approx) as we travel to the plains of West Bengal.

    Day 12 & 13 Drive to Thimpu (175 km /6 Hrs Appx) / City Visit

     This morning we left for Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan (175 km / 6 hr. Airport).

    Highlights: 

    * Experience procession by the royal grandson

    * Visit Trishichzongart -a beautiful medieval fort 

    * Walk to Cheri Dorjidhen Monastery

    * Visit National Institute of Zorig Chusum

    * * Drive through the countryside and to Jigme Dorji Wildlife Sanctuary

     

    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

     



    Day 14 & 15 Drive to Paro (65 Kms / 1 Hr App) 

     Highlights:

    * Visit Kuensel Phodrang, where the great Buddha Dordena lives.

    * Dochula Monastery

    * Visit Punakha, vibrant and colorful, with flagging prayer flags, cultivation on the terrace, and views of the flowing river.

     * Hike to Taktshang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest monastery, one of Bhutan's most revered pilgrimage sites in the Buddhist world)

     * Kyichu Lakhang - which is one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the state dating back to the 7th century.

    Day 16 Paro to Delhi by Flight/ Old Delhi City Tour Walking & Rickshaw Ride

    Arrive Delhi and transfer to Old Delhi for Rickshaw Tour and a walking tour

    On our rickshaw tour of "Rickshaw Rides" in Old Delhi, your condolences will come alive as you will encounter many captivating sights and feel that this amazing city has to offer. A rickshaw tour will introduce you to the true roots of the place and give you a true taste of the city and immerse you in a frenzy of its colors, vibrancy and attractive charm.

    Lunch in the restaurant

    Go back to the hotel, wash and change

    Dinner at the hotel.
